The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca announced on Friday that Cole Palmer is ready to play for the squad's important top-flight fixture against local rivals Arsenal.

The 23-year-old England international was unavailable due to a broken toe suffered after an unfortunate occurrence.

“He is available to start and to play,” Maresca commented. “The whole team is delighted.”

In the current campaign, Palmer has been limited to four outings in every contest, netting two goals.

Since his arrival from Manchester City in the previous year, he has achieved 45 strikes and 29 setups in 101 appearances for the London club.

“He is our most valuable asset, we are delighted he is back, we need to provide him with time to be completely ready,” Maresca added. “He has done fantastic in the past and no doubt he is going to do very good for this club in the future.”

Everton have failed in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's sending off for a physical confrontation with teammate Michael Keane during the squad's single-goal triumph at Old Trafford.

The 36-year-old Senegalese midfielder was shown a red card just early on into the contest after slapping Keane during a dispute over a misplaced pass.

Gueye immediately apologized, and the pair were seen making up later in a light-hearted online video.

However, the challenge against the dismissal was rejected, and Gueye must complete a three-game ban, leaving Everton shorthanded for their upcoming match against Newcastle.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” coach the manager revealed. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

Inquired about additional consequences from the incident, Moyes added: “The matter was resolved instantly, it was done, that was it, we moved on quite quickly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

The defender was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 European win, but Dyche said the player “should be fine”.

However, the full-back (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), the winger (hamstring), the striker (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are expected to miss out.
