Manchester City's manager Voices Remorse Over Camera Operator Altercation Following Loss to Newcastle
The City boss confessed feeling "shame" following an exchange with a camera operator in the wake of Manchester City's 2-1 defeat at Newcastle this past weekend.
At full time, an emotional Guardiola stepped onto the field and had heated discussions with match official Sam Barrott and Magpies midfielder Bruno Guimarães, and also touched the broadcast crew's equipment.
"I apologised," Guardiola stated. "I'm humiliated, regretful, looking back. It's not acceptable. I apologised after one second to the cameraman. I am who I am. With a thousand matches under my belt I’m not a perfect person, errors happen."

City's Position and Manager's Take
City are third and are seven behind the Gunners following their fourth loss this campaign. "Losing four games out of 12 means we must do better," he conceded. "Technically, we can to win everything."
The manager was asked if this meant the quadruple was a realistic aim, he responded: "You are an experienced journalist, have you ever heard me discuss four trophies last winter when we won the quadruple? No."
Exchange with Bruno
Regarding his confrontation with Guimarães, the coach explained: "We have known Bruno for many years and every time after the game, home or away, we talk in the tunnel. We often meet and we get along well. I enjoy it. I’m an emotional guy, I love to talk and gesticulate."
He wouldn't mind should a rival coach addressed his squad right after the final whistle. "Not if you talk with respect like I always have done, it’s not a problem," he noted, before referencing Barrott. "The referee was involved for 95 minutes, 98 minutes, constantly. Goodness, he was involved."
Debatable Calls
The team felt aggrieved that Barrott or the VAR denied a spot-kick for a Fabian Schär challenge against Foden, and doubted if Guimarães was offside on Barnes' goal the decisive strike. Pictures published later show he was level.
Next Big Match
He will manage his century in Europe versus Leverkusen this week. "That's impressive, it means that every season we have been there," he said.
City have 10 points from four matches of the league phase, while Leverkusen have five.
