19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging period, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in particular - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt after that period of that year.
The win also signifies the Russian has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one various competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters together, so to get a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I won when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, including in that event in the past months.
His defensive strategy and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had caused commentators to question if his ability to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, backed up by an better serving game.
He came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his initial professional title, gained dominance to force a decider.
Moutet rescued 4 early-game opportunities in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, the winner clinched victory with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
