Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the last year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The three contenders were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.

The event will be aired from 19:00 GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the best young player in Europe.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being nominated for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
